About LED screens
With a luminance of 2,000 to 5,000 nit, LED screens have the highest brightness of all presentation systems on the market and, under ambient light, the highest contrast.
Besides its unrivalled brightness, the advantages of the LED screen include its long service life with consistent image quality, quick start-up and the option of using the screen both indoors and outdoors, even in the most unfavourable weather conditions (rain, snow).
In the past, one disadvantage was the relatively low resolution of the screens, which produced a rather heavily pixelated image. Today’s state-of-the-art LED video screens, e.g. from BARCO, Daktronics, Hibino, Lighthouse, Panasonic, Mitsubishi and Toshiba, not only have impressive brightness levels but also provide outstandingly high resolution, providing a homogeneous image perception.

There are three different types of LED screen systems: systems for indoor or outdoor use only, and LED screen systems that can be used both indoors and outdoors. An important parameter for the quality of the screen is the resolution, given in millimetres.
